A young couple killed in a car crash that also claimed the lives of their three friends had just returned from a holiday in Dubai, it emerged today.

School teacher Chloe McGee, 23, and farm worker Alan McCluskey, 23, were killed alongside Shay Duffy, 21, Dillon Commins, 23, and Chloe Hipson, 21, in the two-vehicle crash in, Dundalk, County Louth, on Saturday. Speaking on Morning Ireland today, local Sinn Fein Councillor, who is also from Drumconrath, Michael Gallagher, confirmed he knew some of the families caught up in the tragedy.
