Bernie Kosar, the legendary Cleveland Browns quarterback, is now a receiver.

Kosar, 61, was the recipient of a successful liver transplant on Monday, he announced in a post to X .

“Hey, I’m out and I’m feeling good,” Kosar said in a video from his hospital bed. “Just ready to enjoy the rest of the week and the rest of our lives. You matter.”

His surgery comes days after he announced Wednesday on X that he was in need of a liver transplant after a previous surgery was delayed due to the donor organ being infected.

On Sunday night, Kosar shared the good news that he was scheduled for a liver transplant surgery at 5 a.m. Monday at University Hospitals.
