TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Troopers are asking for the public’s help to identify a pedestrian killed in a crash.
According to Louisiana State Police, the crash happened on I-55 near Highway 442, between Tickfaw and University Avenue in Hammond. Authorities responded to the scene around 3:05 a.m. on Monday, October 27.
Troopers said scientific testing and other methods used to try and identify the victim proved unsuccessful. Louisiana State Police and the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner’s Office worked together in the effort.
The victim is described as being a man between 18 and 25 years old. Troopers said he is 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9, has dreadlocks, and has a tattoo of the letters “T.B.T” on his left inner arm and of the words “Long Live LJ” on the inside of his right arm.
