Leduc RCMP has charged four individuals as part of an investigation into child pornography and sexual offences against children.

On August 20, 2025, after an ongoing investigation by Leduc RCMP’s General Investigations Section into sexual offences against a child, RCMP arrested 27-year-old Leduc County resident Mexance Valade.

Valade has been charged with production of child pornography, as well as seven additional charges in relation to sexual offences against children. Valade was taken before court and remanded into custody.

The RCMP executed a search warrant and Valade’s property in the City of Leduc, seizing several electronic devices which were examined by the Alberta Law Enforcement’s Child Exploitation Unit. The examination revealed additional victims and suspects, which the inve
