MADISONVILLE, Tenn. — For people nationwide, Thanksgiving means a busy kitchen and a full table. But for many, the holiday is quite the opposite—quiet and empty. That's where Right To Your Door Delivery steps in this holiday season, with high hopes of no one being left alone or without a hot Thanksgiving meal.
"We have churches out here that make meals for people that can walk in and it's amazing," Kristy Whiteside, the delivery service's owner, said. "It's amazing how these communities are with the outreach, you know, they are having dinners and feeding people. But what about our people who can't come in? That's where we step in."
Whiteside started delivering food to those in need in Monroe, Loudon and McMinn counties in 2021 during the pandemic. It was one delivery in July of this year
