FLORENCE, Ariz. — A 34-year-old man will spend two decades in prison for a drunk driving crash that killed a 4-year-old girl and seriously injured her 6-year-old brother in Queen Creek last June.
Jason Sanchez was sentenced after being convicted of second-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault, Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller announced Monday.
The collision occurred about 11:30 a.m. on June 5, 2024, at the intersection of Power Road and Hunt Highway. Sanchez was driving approximately 65 mph in a 40 mph zone when his Jeep Wrangler rear-ended a minivan that was stopped at the intersection, according to investigators.
