ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police said a bicyclist was fatally struck by a car in west Atlanta on Monday afternoon.

The 60-year-old man died after being hit by a car on the 2600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW, according to Atlanta police.

According to police, the bicyclist was going south on Westland Boulevard NW and “proceeded through the red light at the intersection,” resulting in the collision.

Neither the man nor the driver have been identified.
