STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Monsignor William Belford will celebrate the NYPD Blue Mass, which honors all officers for their bravery, courage and commitment to keeping Staten Island residents safe, on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in St. Teresa R.C. Church, Castleton Corners.
Borough law enforcement officials are expected to be in attendance for the ceremony that will include the blessing of officers and their St. Michael medals. St. Michael is the Catholic archangel and patron saint of police.
The Mass is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the church, at 1634 Victory Blvd.
