GameStop will adopt a unique trade-in model for one day.

On Dec. 6, the store will mark “Trade Anything Day,” when customers can trade various items , not just video games for store credit.

The promotion has the slogan “Bring Whatever, Get Store Credit — Some Questions Asked,” and applies to any physical item that fits inside a 20×20×20-inch box. Employees can accept or reject items at their discretion.

There are notable exclusions. GameStop’s list of prohibited items includes hazardous materials, weapons and ammunition, live or dead animals (though taxidermy is explicitly allowed), drugs, alcohol and lithium-ion–battery-powered gear. The policy also rules out computers, TVs, VCRs, and DVD players — as well as jewelry, gift cards, and items “resembling body parts.”
