GROVE CITY, Ohio — A Ring doorbell camera captured the moments a toddler became trapped in a staircase banister inside a Grove City home.

On Thursday, Valerie Collins said her nearly 2-year-old daughter, Amora, ended up stuck between the rails. Collins was upstairs folding laundry when her 6‑year‑old yelled for help.

“I was upstairs folding laundry, putting laundry away, then my 6-year-old yelled for me,” Collins said.

Collins tried to free her daughter herself but couldn’t.

“More so scared, I don’t think it was hurting her at all. I tried so hard to pull the bars apart, I can deadlift like 325 pounds so I’m like, 'OK this is nothing,.' No it was a lot,” she said.

Collins called Jackson Township firefighters while keeping her daughter calm and clearing the path for crews.
