GROVE CITY, Ohio — A 5-year-old helped Grove City police stop a man accused of assault and attempted car theft after officers were alerted to a stolen vehicle on Stringtown Road near Highway 104 last Thursday.
Police say several suspects had been riding in a car stolen from Union County and were also accused of stealing from Dick’s Sporting Goods. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, dash camera video showed three of the five suspects running from the scene.
One of them — identified by police as 20-year-old Shaliq Bing — ran across Interstate 71 and into the parking lot of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Inside the lot, surveillance video captured an attack on a woman who had been there with her children.
