COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead following a shooting at a southeast Columbus store on Monday evening, according to a public safety dispatcher for the city.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called on a report of a shooting at 2264 South Hamilton Rd. in the Plaza East strip mall, just after 7:50 p.m.

According to the dispatcher, a customer at Wildman's Leather-N-Lace was shot.

The dispatcher said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:01 p.m.

One person has been detained, the dispatcher told 10TV.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
