South Australia's education chief has left open the option of removing all coloured sand products from public schools regardless of their brand, as the number of sites that have reported stocking items linked to an asbestos scare climbs above 350.
At about 140 of those schools and preschools — a full list of which has been posted on the Education Department's website — the sand has been reported as "loose", but the department said it had already been removed from several sites.
