ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor is making plans to upgrade traffic signals at several locations around the city.
City Council voted unanimously Monday night, Nov. 17, to approve a contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation for the roughly $1.3 million project.
Upgrades will include new mast arms, controllers and cabinets, detection, countdown pedestrian signals, accessible pedestrian signal systems, push buttons, backplates, concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, street lighting, permanent signing, pavement markings and related work, Transportation Manager Malisa McCreedy told council in a memo.
The list of street locations includes:
Plymouth Road and Huron Parkway
Plymouth Road and Nixon Road
Plymouth Road and Broadway
Broadway Street and Swift Street
Maple Road and Dexter Avenue
