Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase reportedly plans to put forward a specifically bizarre argument in his bid to have a one-game suspension overturned.
On Monday, the NFL announced that Ja’Marr Chase was suspended one game after allegedly spitting on Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey in Sunday’s game at Acrisure Stadium.
Jalen Ramsey was ejected in the fourth quarter for throwing a punch at Chase’s head. After the game, the All-Pro cornerback told reporters that he retaliated against Chase for spitting on him.
Chase denied spitting on Ramsey after the game, but the NFL didn’t buy the excuse and suspended him for Sunday’s home contest against the New England Patriots.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Ja’Marr Chase is going to appeal the suspension and
