MARION COUNTY, Fla. – An Ocala man was arrested after a woman from the United Kingdom was reported missing last month, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
In a release, FDLE investigators said they received a request on Oct. 13 for help by U.K. authorities through INTERPOL about the missing woman, who was considered endangered.
According to the agency, she was supposed to fly back to England that same afternoon. However, investigators said there was evidence that she might not have intended to return.
A few days later, investigators said her remains were discovered buried in a shallow grave in Marion Oaks.
