ROBESON COUNTY — Christmas parades are coming up across the county as the holiday season nears.
The Lumberton Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, featuring several bands, floats, pageant kings and queens, and Santa Claus. The Sudan Shriner Parade Group will be performing alongside the town parade, featuring funny, miniature cars, clowns, pirates, a band and a host of other units. The parade will begin in Dick Taylor Plaza.
The City of Lumberton will also celebrate with a tree lighting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, also at the Dick Taylor Plaza. Bring the whole family and enjoy free cookies and hot chocolate, fun kids activities, food trucks and holiday music.
