MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Two suspects were arrested for OWI after allegedly crashing a car into a ditch and attempting to flee before police arrived, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
At around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Grant County Communications Center took a 911 from an 18-year-old Glen Haven resident who claimed he had called 911 by accident.
The call was tracked to a different location than the suspect had given dispatch, and two Grant County deputies responded to Military Ridge Road and Langmeier Road in the Town of Patch Grove.
When the deputies arrived, they found a 2016 Mazda in the ditch on the side of the road. They also saw a gray Volkswagen Jetta driving away from the crash location.
