ELK GROVE, Calif. —
A national TikTok challenge was connected to several incidents in Elk Grove within the past month, according to the police department.
Elk Grove police on Monday said officers have responded to at least eight cases within the past month involving kids kicking the front doors of strangers' homes.
The cases have resulted in some arrests. Elk Grove police said earlier this month, three children were arrested in one such instance. And last Friday, two 13-year-olds were taken into custody for causing $680 worth of damage.
In a social media post, the police department linked it to the "Door Kick Challenge," which has been going on for a couple of years across the country.
