SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A break-in at a store in Sacramento resulted in tens of thousands of dollars in losses as a suspect smashed cases and stole video games and collectible cards.
Officials said 1UP Retro Video Games, located on 23rd and J streets, was burglarized early Monday.
"They also came through and ripped open the backs of the card cases to get into them, stole all the cards out of there, all the sealed boxes, and stuff that was on the back shelf as well, and broke our window in the back," said Travis Boune, the store owner.
Surveillance video captured a man smashing cases and grabbing video games and collectible cards.
Sacramento police have not made arrests, and while Boune waits for answers, he is convinced this wasn't random.
