Grand Blanc Township — Less than two months after a gunman shot up a Grand Blanc Township church and set the building ablaze, the township's fire chief wants to nearly double the number of firefighters working at each of the township's two stations, though it could require a tax increase.
The township fire department now has three firefighters staffing its two stations — one on South Saginaw Street and the other on East Baldwin — at all times. It currently has six full-time firefighters and 28 part-time firefighters, according to township records.
