NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A lawsuit has been filed by the family of the couple who died in a crash on the Rainbow Bridge in 2023, citing that the car they were operating may have had defective parts.
The lawsuit was filed by the daughter of Kurt and Monica Villani, and is targeting Bentley Motors, Volkswagen and associated dealerships. The family claims that the 2022 Bentley Flying Spur that the couple was driving was defectively designed, and they specifically claim that the car may not have been manufactured with a brake override for its electronic throttle.
