BUFFALO, N.Y. — After years of stops and starts, the Riverline project in Buffalo's Old First Ward is moving forward.
A new development group called Friends of the Riverline is undertaking a new effort to complete the project.
The plans for the project would see the trail run from Moore Street, through the old DL & W rail corridor, the Perry neighborhood and the Valley neighborhoods and along the Buffalo River.
"The Riverline is still an important project that a lot of people support, it is going to move forward," said Jeffrey Lebsack, Executive Director of Friends of the Riverline. "The project is going to move forward, so its small step, but I hope that as we learn to walk we start running and then maybe we finish in a great sprint and finish the whole thing."
