WASHINGTON TWP. – Suzanne Trush always jokes with Alyssa Chambers about how many school records she has in girls swim and dive.
“She doesn’t have them all,” laughed Trush, Romeo’s girls swim and dive head coach, at the recent Macomb County Championships. “She let her best friend (Gieselle Stone) have one of them.”
Well, Trush is off by one. Chambers does not own the 100 breaststroke, which fellow senior and close friend Stone has, along with diving.
She’s never really done that.
“No, I just stick to swimming my races and helping my team do the best we can,” laughed Chambers.
