A close friend of the man accused of murdering 24-year-old Toyah Cordingley has told a court Rajwinder Singh looked "very stressed" on the day her body was found on a Far North Queensland beach.

Mr Singh, who has pleaded not guilty to Ms Cordingley's murder, is on trial in the Supreme Court in Cairns.
