A senior medical specialist at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH), Dr. Victoria Bobe, has been murdered in her home by unknown assailants, hospital authorities have confirmed.

QECH director Dr. Kevin Mponda told Zodiak this morning that the hospital is devastated by the tragic loss, describing Dr. Bobe as a dedicated and compassionate professional who contributed immensely to the medical field.

Dr. Mponda said the late gynaecologist was not only a committed clinician but also a mentor to young doctors and a valued lecturer at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS).

“We are deeply hurt. She was a hardworking doctor, a good person, a teacher, and someone who brought joy to those around her,” said Mponda.
