Breaking her silence following stunning allegations of physical assault made by a teammate, Bangladesh women’s cricket team captain Nigar Sultana Joty has rejected the claims. While responding to the claims, Joty also took a subtle dig at India women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, referencing the latter’s reaction during her team’s tour of Bangladesh in 2023 when she smashed the stumps after being given out LBW.

Harmanpreet questioned the umpire, branding it as “pathetic".
