The Ohio County community is coming together Wednesday to make sure those affected by this summer’s flash floods are taken care of during the holiday season.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and Triadelphia and Valley Grove volunteer fire departments, will hold a “Stuff The Truck” event from noon-4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Highlands Walmart.
Cpl. Austin Kitzmiller of the OCSO, who is spearheading the event, said the hope is to collect shelf-stable food items for the pantry for flood victims set up at Triadelphia United Methodist Church.
“Having seen first hand the devastation of the floods this past summer and working side by side with local agencies to help the communities get back on their feet, we are holding this event to show the community that we are here to help,” Kitzmiller sai
