A MAGISTRATE has refused to release a Tamworth truck driver accused of sexually abusing three females including a child aged between 10 and 16.
Nathan Howard Sheedy remains in custody, and has lost about 10kg while behind bars since detectives moved on him as he returned to Tamworth in September from Melbourne.
The 45-year-old appeared via video link in Tamworth Local Court, charged with six offences against three complainants dating from 2023 to 2025.
He is being housed in a hospital wing in prison and lodged a fresh application for bail.
The Leader can reveal Sheedy was first intercepted on the outskirts of Tamworth on September 10, as he drove into the city from Melbourne where he had been living.
