When the Narrabri Blues announced their decision to go into recess for the 2025 season, it sent a shockwave through the Group 4 community.
It was an unprecedented step in the 104-year-old club's history, and one that was not taken lightly.
But Blues president Cameron Staines said at the time that they fully intended to return in 2026. And when he arrived at the Group 4 AGM at the West Tamworth League Club on Sunday, he said the club was well on its way to meeting that goal.
In fact, the Blues believe they will field four teams next year: women's tackle, under 18s, reserve grade, and first grade.
