HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Donald Edward Antila passed away Nov. 7, 2025, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Donald was born on Jan. 17, 1949, in Hancock, to Edwin and Edna (Kokkonen) Antila. He grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he graduated from Jeffers High School in 1967 and then attended Northern Michigan University where he received his associates in arts certificate.
After completing school, Donald moved to Wisconsin/Illinois where he worked at Sears, Roebuck, and Company for 20 years as the chief planner in the store planning department. He then was a construction manager for the Archdiocese of Chicago for 17 years, from which he retired. He enjoyed golf, bingo, and spending time with his children and granddaughter.
