Alan Carr has spoken out after being tipped to become the next host of Strictly Come Dancing. Alan has been rumoured to be taking over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman when they depart at the end of the year, following his triumph as winner of The Celebrity Traitors , but Alan worries the role would prove too "nerve-racking" for him.

The 49-year-old comedian said he was "too sweaty" to take on the primetime role. Speaking to the Radio Times magazine, he said: "Apparently my name is in the hat for Strictly Come Dancing, which is an honour, but I haven't spoken to anyone at the BBC .
