The Election Commission has strongly refuted recent allegations made by senior RJD leader Jagdanand Singh regarding tampering in the Bihar assembly elections. Singh claimed that each EVM used had 25,000 votes pre-loaded before polling even began.

In a statement released Tuesday, the EC described Singh's assertions as 'technically impossible and procedurally false,' further stating that RJD agents themselves signed off on the electoral procedures that contradict these claims. The polling agency highlighted the use of VVPAT units and multiple layers of EVM randomisation as methods ensuring election integrity.
