A 'hard-working and talented' father-of-six whose life spiralled into drug abuse and debt was found dead in an alleyway after being stabbed in the chest, an inquest has heard. ‌

Bolton Coroner's Court heard how a passersby found Tyron Riley’s body slumped against the wall of a shadowy passage. According to his mother, Mr Riley had suffered threats from drug dealers to pay off debts after turning to illegal substances, such as cannabis and cocaine, to "self-medicate" after watching his dad die of a sudden cardiac arrest while working alongside each other. ‌

Mr Riley, 31, was discovered wearing a “homemade balaclava”, “makeshift gum shield” and had a “heavy metal pole” laid across his lap. He was pronounced dead at the scene near Clarendon Park in Salford on December 27,
