A newborn baby girl was found stuffed inside a toilet tank in Thailand after a housekeeper heard her cries.

The cleaner was working on the third floor of an office building in Bangkok on November 15 when she made the harrowing discovery.

After lifting the toilet lid, she found the baby girl stuffed in the cistern, which was half-filled with water.

It’s believed the newborn girl was placed there shortly after birth.

The baby was unclothed, and her hands had gone pale and wrinkled from soaking in the water.

Police rushed to the scene in the Lat Krabang district at around 11 am local time after receiving a report. The girl was taken to the Sirindhorn Hospital for a check-up, where doctors found she weighed six pounds and was unharmed.
