OSKAR KANGAS
Oskar Kangas, a freshman from Iron Mountain, came off the bench and scored 12 points by going 4-of-5 from beyond the arc Saturday for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
The sharpshooting wasn’t enough, however, as the Titans bowed 75-68 to Illinois Wesleyan University in the Sikma Hall of Fame Invitational championship game in Bloomington, Ill.
The loss to No. 16-ranked Illinois Wesleyan (2-0) came after Oshkosh defeated No. 21 Maryville College (Tenn.), 94-91, on Friday. Kangas scored 10 points — one of five Titans reaching double-digits.
Oshkosh (2-1) will play three road games — at Carroll University (2-2) on Saturday, at Edgewood University (0-2) on Nov. 25, and at Augustana College (Ill.) (2-0) on Nov. 30, before returning to Kolf Sports Center for a home game again
