New Delhi, Nov 18: Piyush Goyal, India’s Union Commerce Minister, met Norwegian Health Minister Jan Christian Vestre to enhance collaboration in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and tech-led innovations.
Vestre’s visit focused on strengthening health sector ties between the two nations. Goyal emphasized discussions on affordable healthcare and proposed signing MoUs to advance cooperation in health, medicine, and drug regulation.
J P Nadda, India’s Health Minister, previously met with Vestre to address priorities such as digital health and maternal nutrition. Additionally, the countries are engaged in the Norway India Partnership Initiative (NIPI), currently in its fourth phase, aimed at achieving India’s National Health Policy and Sustainable Development Goals.
