A mob of unidentified individuals is suspected of killing a 28-year-old man, Enayi Banda, after accusing him of stealing goats in Chitukula, Lilongwe.

Kanengo Police publicist Gresham Ngwira said Banda’s brother, Innocent Master, reported that the mob beat Banda to death following the allegations. The incident reportedly occurred yesterday.

Police investigations at Nsungwi Police Post revealed that Banda, who previously ran a small trading business, sustained severe injuries, including marks on his shoulders.

Ngwira warned that taking the law into one’s own hands is illegal and assured that police are actively searching for the mob members responsible for this violent act.
