CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A local student wrote a letter to the Pope asking him to visit Chattanooga.
She didn’t get her request, but she got a lot more than she expected.
Selena Mullinax wrote a letter to Pope Leo Fourteen asking him to visit Notre Dame High School here.
To her surprise, she got a note back from the Vatican.
The papal nuncio said he would not be able to visit.
But they sent her a Vatican rosary blessed by the Pope.
Selena says she was overwhelmed and couldn’t even hold the rosary at first.
““I still feel like I’m in shock. I couldn’t even hold the rosary at first. I prayed with it the next night. It’s really beautiful,” she said.
She thinks she may send him an invitation to her graduatio
