The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a special revision of the electoral rolls for Assam, with the process set to begin in December 2025. The revision will use 1st January 2026 as the qualifying date, and all eligible voters must ensure they are correctly listed in the electoral roll.

The Election Commission’s directive aims to create an error-free, high-fidelity electoral roll, ensuring that every eligible citizen is registered and no ineligible person is included. The exercise will be conducted in phases, with the draft electoral roll being published on December 27, 2025.
