Norwich City have confirmed the appointment of ex-Rangers manager Philippe Clement.

The Canaries had been searching for a new boss since sacking Liam Manning on November 8.

Ex-Blackburn manager Jon Dahl Tomasson and former Wolves boss Gary O'Neil both held talks over the vacancy.

But talkSPORT understands that Clement has been the preferred choice throughout the process and he has now landed the job.

He will be joined by coach Stephan Van Der Heyden, with more additions to his backroom staff to be confirmed soon.

The Belgian was most recently in charge of Rangers for 16 months between 2023 and 2025.

During his time in Scotland, he took charge of 86 games and won 55, only losing 16 times during his tenure and lifting a League Cup title.
