The largest and most influential U.S. companies across five high-risk sectors have, by and large, held steady on their core human rights commitments this year—even as we’ve witnessed troubling rollbacks in other areas of responsible business conduct.
According to new research from the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre , leading U.S. firms remain committed to the U.N. Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Labor Standards . They continue to conduct human rights due diligence, maintain access to grievance mechanisms and participate in the multistakeholder initiatives that have shaped responsible business standards over the past two decades.
