A Charlotte man who voted for President Donald Trump said he regretted his vote after he was briefly detained by federal agents.

Willy Aceituno, 46, a Honduran-born U.S. citizen, described being stopped twice by Border Patrol agents while on his way to work in North Carolina's largest city, according to the Associated Press.

He said that during the second encounter, agents broke his car window, forced him out of the vehicle and placed him on the ground. Aceituno was released after officers verified his U.S. citizenship.

"It was the worst decision of my life," Aceituno told MS NOW. When asked why he voted for Trump, Aceituno cited the president's stance on border security and the economy.
