President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, signed into law on July 4, brings sweeping changes to taxes, government assistance and other policies that affect the amount of money in American pockets.

Speaking on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures , Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said there would be a "big bump" for Americans in terms of "refunds and real incomes."

"We are going to see a big bump in the first quarter [of 2026] with the refunds and the real income," said Bessent. "President Trump has also talked about sending $2,000 refunds, and that would be for working families, we will have an income limit, those could go out."
