SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A Northwest Iowa man is expected to serve several years in prison and pay a $1,025 fine after pleading guilty to stabbing a teen.
Court documents show 25-year-old Jason Rice pleaded guilty to one count of willful injury and was sentenced to five years in prison as part of a plea agreement.
Jason Rice was arrested on Wednesday, June 25, and charged in connection with an incident that happened in May at a Sioux City home.
On Sunday, May 24, at 10:45 p.m., Sioux City police were called to UnityPoint St. Luke’s for reports of a 15-year-old suffering from a stab wound to his left backside.
After an interview with witnesses and the injured teenager, officers discovered the incident took place at a party of approximately 15 people, located at 2215 41st St. in Sioux City.
