Dear Eric: I read with interest the letter from the person (“Painted Over”) whose painter did the rooms in colors other than what was specified. The writer wondered where the fault lay.
How about this: I placed a cookie order with a new local bakery. My husband picked up the order. Well, the order was botched – not even close to the cookie flavor I’d ordered.
When I notified the baker, he apologized, saying that my email address was similar to that of someone else who had also placed an order. He offered to do the correct order for me for a “discounted” price.
Huh? Why should I be made to pay again for an error that was not my fault?
Needless to say, I have not done business with this bakery since.
What are your thoughts on this? I did not agree to this resolution. Instead of paying
