SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A massive water main break shut down a road in Allegheny County early Tuesday morning.

Sky 4, Pittsburgh's only news chopper, was over the scene in Scott Township where emergency responders were working to keep the area blocked off. Advertisement

The break occurred early Tuesday in the 1400 block of Meadowlark Drive near Greentree Road. The water has since been turned off, with work being done to repair the break.

Pittsburgh's Action News 4 was there as children walked across lawns to get to their school bus.

It's unclear how many homes have been affected by the break. This story is developing.
