PHOENIX — A man is reportedly in custody after telling a Phoenix police officer that his girlfriend is dead in the back of his vehicle outside the Maryvale Precinct on Tuesday morning.
Police said at about 5 a.m., a man flagged down an officer outside the precinct near 59th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.
The man told the officer that his girlfriend was dead in the back of his vehicle, according to police.
After the officer inspected the vehicle, a woman was reportedly found suffering from a gunshot wound. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the scene and declared her dead.
Police said they took the man into custody, and he provided officers with the location of the original crime scene, in a neighborhood in the area of 71st Virginia avenues. The man allegedly admitted to killing th
