Hapag-Lloyd Cruises made a double call to Lisbon earlier this month with the Europa 2 and the Europa.
Calling it a “special and rare moment,” the company celebrated the ship meeting on its social media profiles.
According to Hapag-Lloyd, the double call offered guests a unique opportunity for photos, in addition to an “emotional and unforgettable moment.”
The Europa 2 arrived at the Lisbon Cruise Terminal to kick off an 11-night cruise to the Canary Islands and Morocco.
Part of the ship’s repositioning voyage to the Caribbean and North America, the open-jaw cruise started with an overnight stay.
After meeting with its sister ship, the 2013-built vessel sailed to seven destinations in the region, such as Agadir, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Gomera and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
