Green Bay’s Plan Commission on Nov. 17 unanimously declined to back what was the last contentious suggestion for short-term rental operators at regulating their industry.

A cap on operations of short-term rentals at 180 days out of the year was a well-meaning suggestion from the Equal Rights Commission , but would be ineffective at both of its goals: getting more affordable housing on the market and ridding the city of nuisance properties, often dubbed party homes, commissioners said.
